Check availabilityThe Deluxe is the first room in the house with a direct lake view. Not to the side, not between rooftops, but straight ahead: water, and the mountains behind it. Plus a balcony, so you can enjoy the same view outdoors.
The real difference, though, is the two separate rooms. Thirty-two square metres in one room is a large room. Thirty-two square metres in two rooms is a small apartment. The sofa bed is in the second room, which for families means the children have their own space, and once they are asleep the evening is not over for the parents.
For couples the same layout works differently. The second room becomes a sitting room where you read, work or simply sit without the bed taking over. On a rainy day, and it does rain in the mountains, that is the difference between a room and a home for a while.
The Deluxe rooms are on the upper floors. At its core the house dates back more than 500 years, and the rooms follow the old beams, not a drawing board. Sloping ceilings, alcoves and varying ceiling heights come with it. If you expect standard dimensions, you will be surprised. If you are looking for character, you will find it here.
Between the Deluxe and the Wellness, it comes down to the room itself. The Wellness has the sauna in the room; the Deluxe gives you two separate rooms instead, with the same view and the same balcony.
There are exactly two Deluxe rooms, 102 and 202. If you want the two-room layout, it is best to book early.

Questions about the Deluxe Room.
What does “two separate rooms” mean?
The sleeping area and the living area are two rooms of their own, not one large room with a divider. The sofa bed is in the second room. For families, that means the evening is not over once the children are asleep. For couples, the second room becomes a sitting room.
Is the lake view really direct?
Yes. Deluxe and Wellness are the only two categories that look straight out over the lake, not to the side and not between rooftops. Both come with a balcony, so you have the same view outdoors.
Deluxe or Wellness: which suits me better?
View and balcony are comparable. The difference: the Wellness has the sauna in the room and a little more space, the Deluxe has two separate rooms. If you would use the sauna, take the Wellness. If a second room matters more to you, take the Deluxe.
