A Look Back

For over 500 years, this house has opened its doors to guests eager to discover Schliersee. Once known as the Tafernwirt, it was a resting place for farmers, hunters, and fishermen. In 1891, it was purchased by actor and co-founder of the Bauerntheater, Xaver Terofal, and continued as the Hotel Seehaus. Even in the 19th century, it attracted many summer visitors seeking relaxation by the lake.

Rooted in Bavaria, inspired by today – arrive, relax, feel at ease.

A New Spirit

In 2024, Ute and Markus Leitner began a new chapter: In 2025, they are transforming the hotel into a modern boutique hotel with wellness and fresh spirit – without forgetting the strong roots that make Terofal so unique. The newly designed bar, the restaurant with its rustic charm, and the beer garden invite you to relax and enjoy – true to the motto: relax.dine.drink.enjoy.
